Pigg’s Passion for Fashion

Lately, I have noticed people have been wearing lacey clothing.  Since lace is such a classic fabric, it looks good with solid colors.  Many people think lace is a “dressy fabric”, but lace can, in fact, be dressed down.  Try a lace shirt with a tank top under it and a pair of jeans.  For best results, limit yourself to one item of lace per clothing.  You can also try a lacey looking scarf with a solid color t-shirt.  This is very simple, yet trendy.

Senior Ashley Toliver- This off white shirt is simple, yet has a little bit of lace at the shoulder.

Freshman Victoria Kesterson- This flowy lace shirt looks great with any color of tank under it.

Junior Gracen Dunn- Her lace headband isn’t much, but gives the outfit a great look.

Pigg’s Passion for Fashion

In this blog I will be highlighting some students who I think have fabulous hair.

Junior Brianna Phillips new red hair is hot! I love how she can pull off that shade of red.  Not only does it give her hair pop, but it’s unique and I love it! I asked Brianna what other color or style she would suggest and this is what she said.

“I would probably consider bleaching the ends of your hair so it faded from red to a blonde-yellow color.”

Senior Ashley Toliver’s hair is definitely at the top of the list. Whether it’s straight, curled or bumped up, it looks good. Her hair always has volume and looks healthy. I also asked Ashley what color or style she would suggest and this is what she said.

“It depends on the person’s personality and their hair color and how risky they are. I personally like darker brown, with some low and highlights. The style definitely depends on the outfit. I also suggest a bumped up do with a simple piece of hair to wrap around the pony tail.”

How to pull it off

Are you going out casually with a couple of friends?  Try an over-sized t-shirt or sweatshirt with leggings.  To top it off, throw on a pair of boots and a few bracelets.

Are you feeling a little on the bloated side?  Certain colors and patterns give you extra weight.  Make sure not to wear horizontal stripes and bright colors.  Wear dark, solid clothing on your curves and show them off!

Are you feeling a bit lazy?  Yoga pants are the answer!   Not only are they comfortable, but they show off your curves as well.  Throw on a solid color V-neck and tank top and your ready to go!

My new obsessions

Chap Stick – Healthy lips are always a plus.

Sparkly side satchel- Holds all my essentials and keeps my outfit trendy.

Moisturizing lotion- Keeps my skin healthy and soft.

Pigg’s Passion for Fashion: Earrings

PHS: I love dangly earrings, why aren’t you wearing them?

Earrings, Earrings, Earrings!  There are so many to choose from.  There is always a certain kind of earring to wear with your outfit.  Dangly earrings are my personal favorite.  Wearing the appropriate earrings for certain outfits is very important.  Some suggestions are below.

  1. If it’s a sweatpants kind of day, go with the simple, diamond earrings.
  2. If you’re going out, grab a pair of dangly earrings.
  3. If you’re going casual, hoop earrings always do the trick.  In my opinion, hoop earrings can make any outfit dressier.
